NIgeria is a fast developing country, as can be seen from the images on this page with old and new jostling for attention in a frenetic race for relevance, survival and attention. It is a nation trying to rise out of the quagmire of corruption, stagnation, civil war, and military dictatorship that mired the early decades of its history independence from Great Britain. Under a new leadership with affirmation of its new democratic tradition through free and fair elections in 2015, there is reason to hope. We already know that Nigeria women, many of whom live in the United States, have made their mark in fields of health care, banking and entrepreneurship. Our Organization is committed to contribute its quota, through its social programs, in helping to meet the needs of women and children in our home country. We can only be proud to be NIgerians if we do our part to improve it..
